A call to care:

CT Needs Personal Care Assistants Now

Make a better living helping someone live better.

Personal care assistants (PCAs) are in demand in Connecticut. In this important role, you’ll work with people with different abilities and needs on a wide range of tasks to help them continue living at home/in their communities.

PCA’s make a huge difference in the lives of those they support.

I'm a PCA currently working with individuals who self-direct their care.I'm a PCA but not currently employed.I'm interested in becoming a PCA.

What do PCAs do?

PCAs do a wide range of work, depending on an individual’s needs, including:

  • Driving to appointments and errands
  • Bathing and dressing
  • Preparing food
  • Performing light housekeeping
  • Working with assistive technology
  • Moving someone around their home (from bed to wheelchair, for example)
  • Providing companionship

All these supports add up to help someone live life to the fullest.
