Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

SNAP, formerly known as the Food Stamp Program, is a nutrition program that helps low-income individuals and families buy food as well as provide nutritional counseling and education. To be eligible, a person must be a resident of Connecticut and with income and, in some cases, assets that comply within set limits.

Households and individuals who wish to apply for SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid for the Aged/Blind/Disabled (HUSKY C), Medicaid for Employees with Disabilities (MED-Connect), and/or cash assistance can download this application:
