individuals who hold a Section 8 voucher or Department of Housing (DOH) rent subsidy (e.g., Rental Assistance Program (RAP), Temporary Rental Assistance Program (T-RAP)) certificate, newly issued while the applicant was on the waiting list of DOH or a housing authority
households (of one or more individuals living together as a unit) residing in an emergency shelter or housing in Connecticut. Please note that emergency housing means a temporary residential facility, such as a hotel, motel, hospital, residential treatment facility, prison, alternative incarceration center, convalescent care center, state institution or shelter for victims of domestic violence. It also includes the private residence of a friend or relative that provides temporary shelter to persons and/or households displaced within the past 45 days due to an eviction, catastrophic event, or domestic violence. THIS IS NOT AN ENTITLEMENT PROGRAM. THIS PROGRAM IS CURRENTLY CLOSED, AVAILABLE ONLY TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES THAT ARE CHRONICALLY HOMELESS AND MEET PROGRAM CRITERIA.
