Community Living Arrangements/Group Homes

Group homes are a unique housing option for individuals with intellectual disabilities, providing the opportunity to live in the community with support services so they can lead independent lives and enjoy a higher quality of life. Typically, the person lives in a group home with two to six people with disabilities and shares an apartment or house. Individuals receive supportive services, including help with Activities of Daily Living, with staff available 24-hours a day, while living in a home environment.
