My Place CT Partners act as a launch point for older adults, people living with disabilities, caregivers and other residents to explore MyPlaceCT.org. Partners won’t be expected to take on additional responsibilities. Rather, Partners can rely on MyPlaceCT.org to provide tools, training, resources and support to maximize your time and create greater efficiency with the work you’re already doing.
As a My Place Partner, you and your organization can network, learn and connect with other Partners and benefit from training opportunities for professional development.
Steps to Becoming a My Place Partner
- The process of becoming a My Place CT Partner is simple and can be done at your own pace. Register by filling out the Partner Sign-Up Form.
- Take training courses
- Watch the 6-minute How to Use MyPlaceCT.org tutorial video. This brief tutorial video tours MyPlaceCT.org and demonstrates key features of the website.
- Take the My Place CT – Understanding Consumer Control, Person-Centered Planning and Self Direction This free, online course offered by Boston University will take approximately four hours to complete and can be done in multiple sittings. There will be an exam to complete the course. If needed, you will have multiple opportunities to pass the course. Four Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are awarded upon successful completion, if appropriate. If you have taken previous person-centered training, you will likely be waived from the course requirement.
- Sign and return the Partner Agreement.
