Have you checked out the My Place CT blog? It just launched this summer to provide perspectives and ideas outside the regular informational content on MyPlaceCT.org. But for Partners, it can be more.
Not only is the blog a great source for ideas to advance Connecticut’s No Wrong Door, it’s also a source of content that Partners can share. The only “rule” is to be sure to attribute all blog content to My Place CT and provide a link to the blog.
A recent blog post told the story about a woman who regained her independence and well-being after an acquired brain injury, thanks to a supportive family and Money Follows the Person. You can share this and other blog posts on your own website or blog.
Here are some ways you can share the blog:
Share a link on your social media. You can link to a specific article or the whole blog.
Copy the text and put it on your own blog. This way you can pick and choose which blog posts to share.
Use the RSS feed to automate the process. RSS stands for “Really simple syndication” and the RSS link is on the blog. Setting up RSS on your own blog or website will automatically pull every new post on the My Place CT blog. To do this, you will need your website developers to set up the code on your website to accept the feed. You’ll find instructions to start your feed in the Partner portal, under Partner Outreach.
Of course, an even better way to share content is to get involved. Partners are welcome to suggest ideas and resources for the blog. Send suggestions to My.Place@CT.gov
