People can find a wealth of information to support independence at home on the My Place CT website. Now this information hub is about to get even more helpful, updating content and adding the voices of experts throughout Connecticut.
To do this, My Place CT will soon launch a new blog featuring new content like articles, infographics and podcasts that deliver more expanded ideas and information. The blog is expected to launch in April.
Every month, new content will explore the same themes, such as accessibility, financial resources and home accessibility found on My Place CT’s Facebook page.
Much of this content will be packaged and made available to Partners to use in their own communication channels. The first of these helps educate people about home accessibility modifications.
Introduction to Home Accessibility
In April, check the Partner portal for two infographics related to home safety and accessibility modifications.
“Make Room for More Accessibility” shows some of the many practical ways a home can be made more livable for all. “Home Safety 101” explores some simple ways to remove barriers and make aging in place safer.
My Place CT Partners are encouraged to share these infographics on social media, online and in outreach programs. Plans are in the works to make it possible to feed My Place CT blog posts straight to your own website. Stay tuned for details.
