Friendly Visiting

This program provides caring outreach to homebound, older adults who are at risk of becoming socially isolated and may suffer from acute loneliness, depression and self-neglect. “Friendly Visitors” are trained to make weekly home visits, providing companionship and some assistance with tasks. They may also call an individual on a regular basis to provide reassurance, social contact and a sense of security.
