Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Waiver

Addresses the individual needs of people with acquired brain injuries who currently receive or would otherwise require services in an institutional setting. It provides a cost-effective plan of care from a wide array of home and community-based services. There is currently a waiting list for the ABI Waiver. If you feel you need this program, we encourage you to apply. Your name will be added to the wait list. In the interim you may benefit from the services available under Community First Choice.

Eligibility

  • individuals between 18 and 64 years old with an acquired brain injury
  • must not exceed established income and asset limits
  • able to meet all other home and community-based Medicaid requirements
